There have been several inquiries regarding how Wisconsin's school nurses may be able to help with needs surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic while schools are not in session.
We have been given the following guidance from Wisconsin's DHS:
Please start with registering with WEAVER. WEAVR stands for Wisconsin Emergency Assistance Volunteer Registry. It is a web-based volunteer registration system for health care and behavioral health professionals. School nurses who are interested in offering their skills and expertise during the state's COVID-19 response can register on the WEAVR website. For general information and answers to questions, nurses can visit the Wisconsin Department of Health Services WEAVR web page.
