    Happy Summer!

I have been contacted by a policy analyst with ChangeLab Solutions. ChangeLab Solutions is working on an overdose prevention policy project supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To inform this work, we are conducting interviews with experts working in schools/the education sector across the U.S. They are looking to interview school nurses who have implemented naloxone programs in their schools.

    This project seeks to:

    • Better understand gaps and opportunities in the current landscape of overdose prevention policy.
    • Identify impactful policies and implementation best practices that can reduce overdose and overdose death at the state and national levels.
    • Inform the development of sector-specific policy agendas that highlight policy levers with the greatest potential to move the needle on overdose prevention. This will also include implementation tools and resources to support public health practitioners to use these policy levers in their jurisdictions.
If you have implemented a naloxone program in your schools and are interested in being a key informant, please email me so I can pass on your information.
