  • 1.  WNA asks for WASN member support for APRN bill

I am sharing this plea for support to WASN members for the APRN bill that the Wisconsin Nurses Association has been trying to get passed for several years.
    Call to Action

Thank you all who contacted your Senator to support SB 394 the APRN Modernization Act.  The bill passed the Senate by a 19 - 14. On to the next step.  The Assembly floor session is from February 15 to 24, 2022, but they will be meeting only on certain days.  More than likely this will be our last chance to get our bill passed this legislative session.

We need you to call your state Assembly Representative between now and February 14, 2022, to request that he/she support SB 394 the APRN Modernization Act.

    • SB 394 reflects the conditions and responsibilities to practice safely as a licensed APRN in Wisconsin.
    • SB 394 will provide patients with access to quality, economical, safe and patient-focused care.
    • Wisconsin's citizens need the care delivered by licensed APRNs NOW in order to meet the demands of health care today and into the future.

You can leave a phone message.  Don't forget to tell your legislator that are his/her constituent.  Provide your name and home address.

Thank you so much.  I know that this seems to be a complex and confusing process.  Thank you for hanging in there. We are very close to the finish line.
